EMC Hosts Ma’aden for the First “حوار هندسي” Session

The first Engineering Dialogue session. EMC hosted Ma'aden at the university during Semester 242, bringing students closer to industry experience and an understanding of engineering in practice through direct conversation.

EMC hosted Ma’aden for the inaugural session of “حوار هندسي — Engineering Dialogue,” titled “Occupational Health and Safety: Enhancing Productivity and Reducing Risks.” The event connected the university community with industry perspectives on workplace safety and its relationship to engineering and management.

The session’s program explored three main themes: the foundations of occupational health and safety, professional practices and modern technologies, and the future skills needed in the field. Discussion topics included managing mining-sector risks, developing a sustainable safety culture, employee training, women’s contributions to the profession, and career advice for engineering students.

The program also included an introduction to Ma’aden’s development and approach to occupational health and safety, an opening address, and time for audience questions.
